NiveshIQ is an educational mutual fund research tool operated by an independent developer based in India. NiveshIQ is NOT a SEBI-registered investment advisor, research analyst, portfolio manager, or mutual fund distributor. We do not provide investment advice, execute transactions, or manage portfolios on behalf of users.

2. Data We Collect

When you use NiveshIQ, we may collect:

  • Account data: Name, email address, and hashed password (if you register).
  • Profile inputs: Age, annual income range, risk tolerance, investment goals, time horizon, and monthly investment amount — used solely to generate illustrative fund suggestions.
  • Portfolio data: Fund holdings you manually enter for tracking purposes.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and error logs for improving the service.

We do NOT collect: PAN numbers, Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, Demat account numbers, payment card information, or any KYC documents.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To generate illustrative fund suggestions based on your profile inputs.
  • To display your manually entered portfolio holdings and approximate gain/loss.
  • To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
  • To improve the service and fix bugs.

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes. Your financial profile inputs are never transmitted to any external party.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers protected by standard security measures. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Authentication uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with 30-day expiry. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Third-Party Data Sources

Fund data displayed on NiveshIQ is sourced from publicly available data from AMFI India (amfiindia.com) and Tickertape (tickertape.in). We do not control the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. Fund NAVs, returns, expense ratios, and other metrics may be delayed or inaccurate. Always verify fund data with the AMC or your broker before investing.

6. External Links

NiveshIQ contains links to third-party investment platforms (Groww, Kuvera, Zerodha Coin). These links are provided for your convenience only. We are not affiliated with these platforms, do not receive referral compensation, and are not responsible for their content, policies, or services. You should review their terms and privacy policies independently.

7. Cookies

NiveshIQ uses browser localStorage to store your authentication token and user preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Your Rights

You may at any time:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
